drill side of tank
Does anyone know where I can get the side of my tank drilled in Tucson, Az? I dont think I want to to tackle this kind of project on my own. I'm too afraid I would crack it. Ii want to make an over flow box so I don't have to use a syphon anymore. Any help is appreciated thanks.

For several months someone advertised in Craigslist here providing that service. That's one place to look. Another would be local aquarium clubs, especially reef tank clubs.

Do some research and do it yourself. take your time, don't press on your drill, the weight of the drill will do the work, use water to help with the cooling, garden hose does the trick or use plumbers putty and make a big circle around where you want to drill the hole and fill it with water.
Check evelbay for cheap diamond bits and bulkheads. I bought my diamond bits from china for 8 a piece and could drill 4 holes with 1 bit. good luck!! be sure ur tank is not tempered, send an e mail to the tank company so they can confirm.

If you do it yourself make a template from a piece of would that is slightly larger than the out side of the bit. Place another piece on the opposite side of the glass you are drilling to prevent splintering.

Make sure that it is not tempered first, its not usually possible to drill into tempered without the sheet shattering.
