Do you have a raccoon problem? They will wade in water, but not swim. They used marginals as stepping stones to try for fish until I moved the pots away from the side.

We just kept a pellet gun by the window.. the raccoons didnt seem to like that, and eventually they learned not to come by.
Nice pond by the way.

I think raccoons or something might have been snooping around. Some of my rocks had shifted a bit. Then again could have been my kids. All eight of my fish still remain. So my fish caves and structure must be working.

Well, I just went out to count my fish and instead of 8 I have 11 (quite possibly more). A couple of the little ones are two inches already. Even the adult koi grow amazingly fast. They have almost doubled in size since I put them in spring.
Plants are doing well, especially water lillies and cattails. Only negative is the electrical usage of that 10 amp waterfall pump running 24 hours a day. Worth the price though. I love the pond.
