Liquid Leonardite

So I set up my first low tech 55 gallon last night with black Eco-complete. I had purchased some Diamond Black (humic acid/leonardite) based off of a comment I had read about it being more stable than peat underneath the substrate. However, I bought the liquid Diamond Black without knowing it was available in granular form.

I haven't filled the aquarium yet, but I noticed that the bit of water from the Eco-complete bags is jet black due to the ~two cups of Diamond Black I poured before capping with the substrate. Once I add the 50 or so gallons, am I going to have a tea-colored tank? Is there any way I can fix this without losing the benefit of the Diamond Black? Should I add the granules and try to do a couple of water changes with some carbon in my filter?

I'd like to keep the additive but have clear water. I'm not a fan of blackwater.
