any eheim pro 3 2071 feedback?
Looking for feedback on running an eheim 3 pro 2071 on a 55 gallon fa planted tank solo?

I have a pro 3 on my 90 gal tank. Overall I'm quite happy with it.
I replaced the plastic filter rings, that came with it, with the traditional Ehfimech. I found the plastic rings floated, making cleaning the filter a pain. I also replaced the biological media, that came with it, with Substrat Pro. The material that came with it didn't seem to be that porous. I have found that the filter is a bit of a pain to prime. The best thing to do is to fill it with as much water as possible before you put the top on and hook it up. The water flow through the filter is a little different from other Eheims. They place the filter pads in a top compartment and then run it to the bottom of the filter and up to the pump. This lets you replace the filter pads without taking apart the rest of the filter. I think it will work out just fine for you. |

Thanks for the reply! Kinda bummed. Sounds like I could have picked a better filter.
