Good start. Is the water cloudy from a recent fill? I ask because I see you have a 501 and I am considering getting one for my 5.5 but I want to make sure its adequate enough to keep the water clear. As of right now I am running an Aquaclear HOB and it does a phenomenal job but is less pleasing to the eye. Going for a glosso carpet? That should be awesome.

No, not cloudy from recent fill but cloudy from dumping old aquasoil in, it was the color of leather before and this is what the zoo med did in about 24 hours.

Yup I love glosso, and I've had it carpet in lowlight tanks and I like when leaves are larger than those on HC
