Started a bigger tank...

I realized that the 4g wasn't going to be even close to big enough to be a humane shrimp tank.. so I spent some money lol..

I'm going to pretty much just post pics as new posts in this journal so this is the 56K warning etc..

Flora:
ALOT!

Fauna:
12x Black Tetra
some CRS that are hiding (unknown # of shrimp as the tetra seem to find them tasty)

Light:
ZooMed 30" T5HO
24W 5000K FloraGlow
24W 10000K UltraSun

CO2:
Extreme Rage Paintball Cylinder
Atomic 55mm Diffuser (on order)
Atomic Vertical Bubble Counter (on order)

Substrate:
~1" Miracle Grow Potting Mix
~2-4" (varies) CaribSea SuperNaturals White/Black Sand ((Fine grain))

Light Cycle:
4hrs in the am then 6.5hrs at night with 8hr siesta

I was just thinking about getting the Finnex 4G for a shrimp tank. Why don't you think it's big enough for shrimp? I thought it would be fine.

well...

I don't know about all this planted tank stuff... Maybe a month or 3 from now I'll have something sweet to show. Right now i have a massive jungle of stuff with no order or reason to placement.

The tetra seem pretty content though.. the bigger ones seem to like the wisteria in the back, they're always hiding in there until feeding time, then it's a shark frenzy :P

hopefully I'll get some inspiration, and get this tank cycled, etc...

If bullets hit that tank will they just stop and flattten out and fall to the floor?

Every time I look at your tank, I forget to notice your plants.

After that I did notice them and it looks nice.
