E.stallata & Mayaca Fluviatilis
Hi everyone,
I am concerned about these two plants, on the E.stallata the red or pink color to it has completely dissapeared. All the new growth is light green. The tips(new growth) on my mayaca fluviatilis are white. I have 2.3wpg and dose phosephate(1/8tsp), nitrate(1/2tsp),potassium(1/4tsp), csm+b plus extra iron(1tbs&1/2) into 250ml of water and dose 15ml out of that on opposite days. All at 3x weekly. Is it my low lighting? Maybe perhaps my dosing regimen? I plan on ordering a new light system to hopfully bring at 4.6wpg or 3.4wpg, havent decided yet. PLease help!! Pete |

You should not dissolve micro/macro into the same bottle, is that what you are doing? They will react(mainly iron and phosphate presumably) and precipitate out.

As far as the plants, are they relatively new in your tank? Give them some more time. I have pretty much exactly the same levels of macros and micros and have relatively green E. stellata on the bottom. The taller plants take on the more pinkish-reddish huge. Just keep feeding them and they should be fine.

Yes they are new, about three weeks old. The E.Stallata is growing mini ones on top, can I cut them off and plant them?
