Make some soup with it... I don't like tofu, I only can stand it in soup. Hot and Sour Soup or Miso Soup!!!
My mom also cooks tofu, but it involves meat. Maybe you can season it then bake it.

Fried rice?
Or you can be really creative and just eat it boiled... -Andrew

Thin egg noodles, scallions (or Asian equivalent), cabbage, a few random veggies, and a cube or two of Pho, which is a Vietnamese spice. Makes a nice soup.
And it's quite possible that you wouldn't have to go out and buy anything if you just wanted to cook any type of noodles, steam some veggies, and pan fry tofu cubes with teriyaki (or any other sauce, really). Soaking them first in whatever sauce will add flavor. *edit* Once you thaw it, cut it up into slightly smaller chunks (not tiny, just no more than 2-3" cubes), put paper towels under and over it, and weight it down for 30min to an hour. *Then* let it marinate in something. It will soak up whatever flavor you want, more readily. |

Kevmo definitely hit the nail on the head...whatever you do when prepping tofu, make sure to squeeze as much of that water out if you want it to hold any flavor.
I usually pan-fry my tofu with a soy sauce / ginger sesame teriyaki mix that I make up. I tend to throw the sauce in the pan with scallions, onions, garlic (and whatever else), and get everything browning in the pan before throwing the tofu in. Then, take a spatula, press the tofu down again in the pan as you add thin slices so that it absorbs as much flavor as possible...then go generously again with the sauce. I used to be vegetarian...never got any more creative than stir-fry and the aforementioned soups with cooking tofu...seemed to be the only way it would hold any flavor for me

Every good is fried. You can pan fry or deep fry until golden. Season with salt & pepper or soy sauce. Eat with your favorite starch and vegetables.
Ever wonder how tofu is made? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i35M3_9dQ4

How about 'Tokawa't Baboy' (Fried Tofu & Pork Belly w/ Vinegar) for sides and make 'Goto' (Tripe Congee)...

FYI, this thread prompted me to head out to the local international supermarket and pick up a bunch of goodies. My mouth is currently tingling from wasabi peas

Speaking of tofu, the other day I made chicken fried tofu for a vegetarian friend of mine, came out really good. Just get some extra firm tofu and slice it into 1/2" slices and press down on some towels with about 5 lbs of weight for about 2 hours then prepare it in the same way as you would with fried chicken
