The store is a new store a lot of the employees are very familiar with the fish and problems compatibility and care. I feel it well worth your time to stop by this store. Dan carries a good selection of both salt water and fresh water fish.

pets playhouse in cedar rapids is a really nice store. Coralville Bay in Iowa City is also really nice.

Those are the best I know of in the area.

I'm new to Iowa and the planted tank! I know this was an older post, but I have been to Pet's Playhouse a couple of times and they seem pretty helpful. I plan on going to the spot down in Coralville towards the end of this weekend! I will definitely post about it after my experience.

Iowa is not the hotbed for lfs's that I am used to coming from the Chicagoland area

pet's playhouse has a bigger selection than coralville bay in all areas. more fish, more plants, more supplies, etc.
if you're in CR then stick to them. nothing wrong with coralville bay, but not really worth the trip past pet's playhouse
