Question

Little confusion!Pls. post only you have tried these plants.

Which 1 of these plants are harder to grow?

1. Erios
2. Tonina sp.
3. Ludwigia inclinata var. Verticillata 'pantanal'
4. SYNGONANTHUS sp's

As I read in the forum lots of you are having problem with 'pantanal' which in my case grows like a weed...which is suppose to be hard to grow plant...

But all other 3 mentioned above are relatively easily if given ample amount of light, co2 and Fert.....but for some reason I don't understand all are not doing any good in my tank.....what might be the reason.....??

I have T5 lighting(320 watts) 12 hours co2 and EI dosing, Nyc soft water. I have tried many sp. of plants as you all can see in my sell threads.....but these 3 sp. are making me Wacko...

Even Eriocaulon aquaticum, which is easiest among Erios is not doing any good...any input/suggestion...??

Again plz put suggestion/input if you have or had all above mention plants...don't flood this thread.

What are your water parameters? Soft or hard?

i think some species of erios are the toughest.

erio matto grosso, syngo uaupes, and then toninas (in that order) are the hardest for me.

i my pantanal isnt growing fast but i also havent lost a stem yet

Im growing all of those in mid-high light. Only using to 2 the 4 bulbs in my 120p and i also grew mine without ferts for a while. So im guessing your water is just not soft enough, or cool enough. I use pure RO water and a chiller that keeps the water cool from 72-76.

Yeah just straight RO, which is why i dont dose EI. Idk if the kits are wrong or water is too hard but the test say my kh and gh are both 1.

That is some cool running water. What size chiller do you use?
