Java Lace Ferns: Wallichi

Has anyone had they fringes on the end of the leaves turn brown on them. Also, has anyone had Rotala Wallichi get dark red instead of pink, is that normal.

yea, it happened to me when I went away for a week on vacation. Tank was thrown out of balance for me and I started a GW algae battle. Its a week I regret leaving.
Most people want their wallichi to be as red as possible. Redness in plants usually comes from nitrate shortage.
