AquariumNoob's New 75G Tank!!!

Well, Figured now that i got the camera back, id post some pictures of my 75g! Its a pretty cheap 8MP Polaroid, and i dont know how to use the camera to get nicer pictures, but these were the best i could get (i took each picture like 5 times lol)..
My Equipment:
Perfecto(Marineland) 75g Tank With stand and canopy
Marineland Emperor 400 (yes its an HOB But the water is full so there isnt much agitation, just a lot of water flow on the top of the tank)
Eheim 2217
Random China brand 2x54w T5HO
Coralife digital thermo
10lb co2 tank
Concoa co2 regulator body with Yikejasons body kit (Fabco needle valve, Clippard solenoid). Put together using joint compound not teflon tape!
Aqueon 300 Watt Submersible Heater
-Will add more eventually as im sure i forgot something
Plants (a few have been removed since so some that are on the list may not be there anymore):
Myriophyllum Pinnatum
Lloydiella
Anacharis
Hygrophila Angustifolia
I had water wisteria but i got rid of it because it was too thick and spread out for my liking, and made my tank look like a freakin salad bowl lol.
Also got 1 Giant marimo, 2 Medium marimos, and 3 Small marimo's (not nano, small.. around 1.5"). The moss tree (trying it out- we'll see how it ends up) on the far right near the wall has Java moss on it. Of the 3 rocks, two had xmas moss and the 3rd had java (forgot which =/ gotta ID em again lol). The little bamboo structure on the right has Java moss on it. Putting some bamboo in there (got a bit more that i have yet to put together- gona have to order a bit more moss or wait maybe till the rest grows out and use what i take off =P) for my to-be shrimp to play with.. for now i got some snails in there that must have hitched a ride with some of the plants. hoping to get rid of em if i end up with snails). Id suggest everyone have marimo balls. Coolest things ever and so fun to pet! Fluffier than my dogs =P. I got the rocks on the left side from some guy on ebay.. 30$ for all of those rocks, shipped from some quarry in nevada. soaked em in hot water for a few hours to make sure there was nothing bad on/in em.. so far dont seem to be causing any trouble as far as i can tell. its great. Especially if you have shy fish and shrimp and stuff.. gives them places to sneak into.. its a pain in the butt to clean there though haha.
By the way, the co2 isnt set up in the tank yet.
Gravel: Petco brand rocks, a mix of pea and plain old gravel.. mainly pea on the right side, with the left side being the larger gravel (naturally, it got a bit mixed on the right.).
Ferts: Currently only rootmedic root tabs, waiting for some more root tabs and rootmedic's liquid ferts to arrive in the mail.

By the way, ignore those time stamps. Its not 2007, its just that the camera is a bit off on the date lol.

It looks great! I like that all the plants are so close in color like varying shades of the same green. The green curtain behind the tank makes it look even greener.

I sorta improvised the moss on the rocks. The guy aqmagic that sells moss (thats where i got alla the moss from) suggested you use one layer of stainless steel mesh for the moss to grab onto and then the green plastic mesh you see in the pictures on top.. but he wanted tons of money (probably like 30$ worth of mesh for the rocks and everything) for the mesh, so i just bought extra of the way cheaper plastic mesh (only a few bucks, i did everything you see that has nets on it for like 5$ and its all double layered).. I cut out basic shapes around the size of the rocks twice, and "stitched" the edges with fishing line, doing all but 1 side.. then stuffed in the moss, and then stitched the 4th side, and then just tied strings from each side and ran them across and tied them to the other side to stretch the net over the rocks.. took some time but fairly simple, and should (hopefully) look alright when it grows out. so far theres a lot of moss starting to poke out of the mesh which shows that its growing so im happy about that haha.. in 2 or 3 months you shouldnt really see the mesh.

Thanks ! The green curtain is a coincidence lol. Me and my brother each have 1 wall that is painted a random color. Mine is painted blue and his is painted green. we switched the curtain colors so i have a blue wall with green curtains and he has a green wall with blue curtains haha.. too bad the tank is blocking the window but that was the best place to put it. anyhow, i like the plants in there, definately.. hoping to add a few more plants though.. maybe stuff with some redder tones. Still shopping around. hoping to add a few more plants.. and maybe some more moss.. i just cant wait to get some inverts in thereeeeeee!!!!!!!!

So, i havent updated this in a WHILE. Anyhow, i have some newer equipment and stocking.
Currently have German Blue Ram's, 4 Angelfish(Dont know which), 2 Albino Bushynose Pleco's, and 9 Sterbae Tetra's.
Equipment:
-Marineland Stealth Pro Heater
-2x Eheim 2217's
-Stock Marineland/Perfecto 1x 48" Unit (starter burnt out- awaiting new one so its out for now)
-Extra lighting is a 2x T5HO 48" Unit. Aftermarket China stuff.
-Not yet set up as i havent gotten the darn tank filled =/: 10lb co2 tank with Concoa co2 regulator body w/ Yikejasons body kit (Fabco needle valve, Clippard solenoid). Put together using joint compound not teflon tape!
-Cheap little Digital thermometer
-2x Albino Bushynose Pleco's (Live Gravel Vac's)
Hoping to get that co2 setup put together and ready to go just gotta get the darn tank filled.

Substrate is i believe 6 or 7 Bags of Eco-Complete.
To make my life easier i copied & pasted the order list for plants:
1 ea. Echinodorus Martii (Ruffle Sword) SM
2 ea. Echinodorus Bleheri (Amazon Sword) Pot
2 ea. Vallisneria Asiatica Var. Biwaensis (Corkscrew Val)
1 ea. Echinodorus Argentinensis (Rangeri) Pot
2 ea. Cryptocoryne Crispatula var. Balansae pot
3 ea. Java Fern Narrow Leaf
4 ea. Java Fern (Microsorium Pteropus)
2 ea. Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red Pot
2 ea. Vallisneria Gigantea (Jungle Val)
1 ea. Echinodorus Cordifolius (Radican) Pot
1 ea. Aponogeton Capuronii
2 ea. Vallisneria Spiralis (Italian Val)
1 ea. Cryptocoryne Undulata Pot
3 ea. Java Moss (Vesicularia Dubyana)
1 ea. Cryptocoryne Spiralis Pot XL
1 ea. Anubias Barteri Var. Broadleaf Pot
1 ea. Anubias Barteri Var. Nana
A giant Marimo ball and a few small/medium ones.
All of that is in the tank and as far as i can tell everything is doin alright. Java fern is already budding and have a few plants which i will be taking off in a week or so. Amazon swords did melt but theyre already 6" or so (one pretty much totally melted the other only lost 4 or 5 leaves). the grasses are doing great and are already at the top of the tank and have 1' or so just floating around in the currents lol. The "Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red" is doing great too. around 1' high or so. Ill get pictures up later today hopefully. The moss, which i ended up not using and just throwing into the tank, is growing alright (and unfortunately getting everywhere and making a mess =/.. Might transfer the extra moss to my 30g just to let it grow freely as theres practically no plants there.. only 1 kind that for some reason wouldnt grow in my 75g but is going pretty well in my 30g..??). For ferts i have a few root tabs in the tank (totally forgot to put new ones and its been like 3 months haha. CRAP), as well as the Rootmedic liquid ferts. During theyre awesome sale where it was almost 50% off, i got the 500ml set (i think its 500?) of macro's & micros and then got the set of refills for 80$ or whatever (only cost me 50something then) so the extra jugs are stored under my tank. From what i understand they should still be good to use for another year so yeah. My marimo balls are... well.. no noticable change yet. Ill let ya know in 4 or 5 years .

Anyhow thats all i can think of. Pictures to come soon!
