Vals growing flat?
My vals, which I believe to be jungle vals, have started sending out new shoots that are flat, for the lack of a better word. They lack depth. They are virtually 2D. They also curl over and head for the ground again where they are flat. And they aren't flexible. They don't move in the water current. I can't bend them where they are flat.
I believe that the ones that are flat sprouted while I was gone and was not fertilizing, so I am hoping that is my only problem. I would still like to know what kind of deficiency this is, or if it is normal, or if I have mutated vals... Please excuse the scuzziness. Today is maintenance day. ![]()

They are just mutated leaves. That happens from time to time, why I dont know, but I think its just one of those things.
When mine would throw leaves out like that I would just cut them off at the base and let the plant put its energy to good use and feed the "normal growth". You have no deficiencies though...thats just nature.
