Clear PVC in NY??

Does anyone know where I can get clear PVC pipe (like Harvel, etc.) in NY? I tried Home Depot and some local hardware/pluming supply stores, but they would have to order it. I can order it myself, I would just rather go somewhere to buy it.

They're not sold in your everyday hardware store.

Actually, thats where I plan on ordering it, if I cant find it locally.

I'm using 1/2" clear PVC I bought from HD on Long Island. They always have it in stock. Are you looking for a certain grade.

Where on the island? I wonder why your HD has it and mine does'nt. You would think they would have the same thing. I need 10' of 3/4" pipe. I'm making a 4' spray bar and 2, 2' filter intake pipes.
I also need 2, 3/4" clear elbows and 1, 3/4" clear couple. Thats why I planed on ordering from USPlastics cause they had the fittings.

I know canal plastics (intersection of canal and church st) has 6 feet of 3/4 acrylic pipes for $7. Not sure about fittings though.

The acrylic pipes in canal plastics are not fully compatible with schedule 40 fittings. I tried to find a 2" for the DIY inline co2 reactor but no liuck with them. The smaller pipes for spraybars and other smaller diameters seems to be ok. Just not sure if they will fit with regular smaller pipe fittings.

Isn't it just wonderful how poorly the plastics industry deals with sizing.
Then there's schedule 30, 40, 80.

PVC are measured in nominal pipe size, where the OD and ID are only roughly the size listed (1 inch, 2.5 inch, etc). Acrylic pipes sized based on true ID or OD, depending on the seller (some list ID, some list OD).

ID = inner diameter
OD = outer diameter

I just finished a big project with acrylic pipes where i tapered down 2" acrylic pipes to fit into PVC schedule 40 fittings. its not that hard, but requires patience and an even source of very hot air (heat gun).
