The lighter pieces of driftwood aren't in their permanent positions, they just have to get water logged first... Had them from another tank and they dried out. ;P

What plants are you thinking about implementing? How much open space do you think there will be once its fully grown in? That may help you narrow down your choices for fish.

DAY 2!
![]() ![]() 1 LIGHT ON ![]() BOTH LIGHTS ON ![]() FTS CLOSE UP ![]() Tomorrow I'm going to Petco to pick up a anubis (sp) and a nice sword with many baby swords on the runners, maybe a couple more, just to help the cycle out. I took the dark driftwood from my 90g to help the cycle speed up a bit as well...

So I changed up some things since the beginning... I realized I had TOO MUCH LIGHT w/o using any CO2, so I took down the Coralife 65x2 light and replaced with 2x40 6500k Hagen T8's.
I added a few more plants and put rootmedic root tabs into the substrate around the plants. The tabs do help I must say. Even with a low tech setup like this one. Here are a few pics of the tank and a couple of my prized fauna.... A veiltail GBR! Comments always welcomed! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice but the woods are
not playing power role, therefore u may consider re-design only with rocks. |

Tank is looking good. I would have to agree and say you might consider taking out the driftwood and useing just the rock.
