im headed to ft knox
my hubby will be stationed at knox starting in july and i am looking to find others from the area to talk to bout fish and just friends in general. send me a line and let me know what its like up there im from oklahoma now so im sure it will be a big change

I'm in Louisville, not far from Knox. You may have to come here to find what you want, Louisville has a lot of pet shops, not sure about Ft Knox, can't be much if any. I lived in Louisville 30 years ago and had beautiful planted tanks without any algae problems using tap water, Texblast for substrate, and simple shoplights (one cool white, one warm white) for light fixtures. No CO2, no ferts, no nothing.
I had no idea how good I had it. These days, I wonder if it was something about the water?

Louisville is known world-wide for their water system.
(People from other countries come here to study it) It's suppose to be one of the best, but that's for drinking I guess. I don't know about for fish. It does run high on the PH scale, and it has chloramines, but it hasn't been a problem for me so far. And I've been doing fish here for over 45 yrs-LOL
