small algae problem


72 gallon
54 watts X 4
eheim pro2

i have a lil brown algae on the leafs and on the glass and i have green algae on top of the draft wood which im scraping off almost everyday i need some help b4 it gets out of control



my phosphate level is 0, my nitrates are .5

i do 30% water change every week following with potassium 2 1/4 caps, iron 2 caps, and when nitrates are a lil low i put some nitrogen in and all dosage are Florish.

That much light you need pressurized CO2 along with a fully dosing regime of NPK and Traces,

i have pressurized co2 at least 2 bubbles per second and yes today i put some flourish trace in there. whats NPK ???

What is your CO2 level at? Not BPS but how many PPM is in the tank? I suggest you go read the Fertilizers forum and the sticky at the top of the page.

my ph is 6.8 and my dkh is 4 its suppose to b around 18 at its max and in the morning it b around 11ppm

PH to KH relationship isn't accurate for anything, there are too many variables that change either one. I would suggest a Drop checker with 4dkh solution not tap water to get an accurate measurement. You should idealy have around 30ppm in your tank.

I would just make sure you are around to watch the tank incase any fish start gasping at the surface so you cna back off the CO2 abit,
