Nice looking tank, you might want to get a betta for it. It looks sort of empty

I like the cherries too, I'm thinking I should add duckweed to my nano too, or maybe riccia I am currently getting too much algae and the cherries aren't eating the thread or staghorn algae

substrate is simply black gravel with some ADA soil on the top layer. i added some ADA soil with the hope that the PH will go down so that it would be more conducive for the shrimps to breed. however, i honestly dun think ADA needs to be added as the water's PH will slide down slowly with time. clumsy me..... for my case, i did not use base fert as i had no intention to plant rooted plants. all the plants (java fern, java moss, nanas) in there are tied to driftwood. the duckweeds are there so as to block out the lights as i feel 11W for a 1.5G tank is way too much... no filtration at all. lighting is a clip on 11W. lightings turned on 8 hrs daily. betta??! no way. there are actually 2 rasbora maculata & 2 boraras brigittae in the tank. there are some more pictures of this small tank at this link cheers everyone....

I love it! Never seen anyone grow moss that way. It looks like a pine tree, and when the cherries are scattered on it, you'll be all set for Christmas
I've been looking for a light just like the one your using. Could you please tell me where you got it, the company that makes it, etc etc. Ted |

Great...no filtration. I have everything I need including that light. Just need time to set it up
This stuff is too addictive. If I didn't have two oscars in a 65 gal I can just imagine what I would be doing in there after finding this site. |
