Cory + Tiger Barb = Eggs?

I'm new to fish tanks and recently setup a 29-gal planted low-tech. I used the filter from my existing 5-gal hex to seed the new tank and then transfered my Emerald Green Cory and Green Tiger Barb. It's been about a week and they seem to love the new tank. Both are very frisky and the Tiger Barb lavishly fawns over the Cory.



I didn't think much of it until I noticed little white eggs under my anubias leaves. Is this normal behavior? Should I remove the eggs? Should I get these two a hotel room?

Now that's a new one. You sure there's no snails in the tank?

If the eggs are in a transparent jelly like cluster, It's probably snail eggs. Just squish them with your fingers and they'll be done.

I've had snail eggs quite a bit and they look like tiny bubbles. They are usually on the glass, plants, or pretty much anywhere it can stick too...

3 things:

1- They probably are snails eggs. Like mentioned above, little tiny sack (clear) with little dots. Probably came in on your plants, or you might even have some in your tank.

2- Tiger barbs are schooling fish. You should have at least 6 together. The develop a pecking order. If there are too few, they will pick on the other fish. I could almost guarantee that is why the TB is messing with the cory.

3- Cory's are schooling as well. I personally have no more details on them though. I am sure someone else will come along.

I plan on slowly introducing 5 more Tiger Barbs and 4 more Cories once my tank parameters stabilize. My Barb doesn't nip at the Cory at all...rather he dances around her with his nose down, flapping his fins as if in a mating ritual. The Cory doesn't fear the Barb and likes to stay close to him. The opaque white eggs are about 1.5mm and appear to be individually laid, not in a gel-like substance. I think I might've triggered a spawn with one of my water changes, but I'll keep an eye out for snails.

they might be fish eggs but they're not fertilized.. They'll fungus soon.

lol...if they are stuck to the under side of the leaves, they are prolly cory eggs, however, they won't hatch. Corys and tigers can't cross breed.
