Default Fish ID Please!

I dont know if all 4 are the same species, 1 came from 1 tank, 3 came from another.

The single one has a silver body, black caudal spot and right above it is an iridescent yellow/red spot.
The 3 had same silver body, caudal spot, and an iridescent stripe going down the side that looked blue in the store.

Extremely pale as I'm acclimating, but I'll try and get a tank photo soon..

One of those looks like a female Axelrodia riesei. The others I am not completely sure.

3rd picture, the fish closest to us (not the Cories) is not healthy. See the concave abdomen? This fish might just be the 'low fish on the totem pole' and the others in the store have been chasing it away from the food, or else it has a real problem.

Don't forget to quarantine! Every time!

I got gold/brass tetras in my tank, they dont really look alike. Those are more opaque silver while these guys are a bit more translucent.

The gold coloring is guanin produced by the fish to protect from parasites found in their native waters. Fish without the extra guanin look completely different.

That is super interesting, learned something new today. I wonder what other tetras would look like with that.

The older ones in the tank have always been nipping and chase fish, constantly moving. The 3 new ones are pretty docile so far, I wonder if that will change once they get settled/grow.

The blue/yellow striping is just a random variation Im guessing vs. sexual dimorphism
