im looking to build another stand in the style of an ADA stand.
but i dont have alot of wood working experience so that thought was out quick lol. i do however have built some stands out of 2x4s and then putting some 1/4 wood around it for the sides an back. i want to build a cleaner looking stand using 3/4" panels but the panel i used for the door on my current stand was slightly warped so it doesnt close all the way. this will prove a problem when trying to build a stand that will be supporting my tank. anyone know where i can pick up some quality wood panels that are 3/4" thick that are straight? i dont want to have to get a plane and do it that way just to get it straight. |

When you say 1/4 and 3/4 inch wood, do you mean plywood with mahogany veneer (or whatever kind of veneer)?
Or something like 1 by 4 joined together, or wainscoting? If you don't know the terminology, perhaps a pic similar to what you are going for, I will be able to point you in the right direction.
