I'm a student at UW, and my aunt bought me a 55 gallon aquarium for a bday gift. I was wondering if most people in Wyoming end up having fish/plants shipped or if there is a good store nearby. I've been to Petco in Cheyenne, which was terrible, and the Wal-mart here is a little better, but i'd rather not buy fish there.

Is anyone from Wyoming out there???? I'm hoping to get a few angelfish, a school of hatchets, a peco, and perhaps two swordtails. Where would you get them?? Shipping costs and the weather have made me leary of ordering online.
edit: I'm willing to drive! |

GO POKES!!!!
Sorry, I can't help you with the fish thing. I would bet Denver or Ft Collins would be your best bet. look for som aquarium clubs online for those cities. They should be able to help you out.

Hit Denizens of the the Deep. They have a store in Cheyenne and a better one in Fort Collins. Decent selection in Cheyenne, with some plants. Again, the Fort Collins store has better stuff all the way around, but the drive would be hard on some fish I think (from my house to DotD in Cheyenne was something like 55 minutes).
Hope that helps! G

I was wondering the same thing. I resently moved from Craig, Colorado to Riverton, Wyoming. So far I am not impressed with fish store in Riverton; The walmart here has fish, but about one third of their tanks had dead fish. There is a pet store in the mall in Casper, but I was not impressed with them. I would like to find a good fish store near here. I have like to replace some ot the fish that I lost in the move. I may have to resort to mail order.
