Default LED questions, Low light for African Tank

I am looking to do a 55 gallon african cichlid tank. So I need something that will cover the whole 48" length of the tank but not be so bright it will cause algae. I also would like to attach some anubius and java fern to the rock structures. The marineland 48" double bright will be too bright but I haven't read anything about if the single bright will be enough for super low light plants like anubius and java fern. If that won't work what about Finnex, do they have anything that will work? I guess if that fails I can always just do a T-8 setup or something. I just need something that will give me that nice white or even blue deep water effect of lake tanganyka while still growing extremely low light stuff and not causing a mess. I liked the marineland setup because some of them come with moonlights which I love the idea of.

Finnex Fugeray. Will grow low light plants but not be too much light. I'm considering setting up a 55 and going back to Malawi with some ferns and anubias and the Fugeray would be my choice. Fugeray also has moonlights.

$110 is more then I expected to pay for basicly a fish only light. What about non LED? Would a single T8 fixture with a Reef Sun 50/50 bulb grow anubius and Java Fern? Or would I have to do a dual bulb 6500k and actinic setup?

I wonder does it have to be freshwater? Because Marine would look really good with African Cichlids.
