Myself and ghe member who gave me this lowly stem are both wondering what it is. It seems to grow like bamboo.
There is a slight orange sheen to the leaves.

That is exactly what it looks like. But a different color shade to the leaves.

That is under-developed H. aristata. It came out of my tank. It was growing under the hulking specimens of the same species.
Looks okay planted. I have never planted it, may have to try.

Those corn things only grow when they are floating. I'm pretty sure it is hygroryza aristata. Look at the side roots.

I had it planted long time ago, that's how I knew what it looked like. Beautiful plant indeed! I like how it stands out from all the other plants.
