Default Rcs feeding question

This is my first try at feeding them a blanched veggy. What I dId was take a piece of lettuce & microwave it on high for 5 minutes in boiling water, after that I placed it in the tank but it still floated, so I put a wooden chopstick for temp to hold it down. After about 10 minutes I notice a few snails on the lettuce feeding & 7 shrimp on the wooden chopstick?

Sounds about right.

Give it an hour or two and the shrimp will eventually discover the lettuce is the tasty part.

I do have 1 piece of driftwood in the tank, but I don't see many shrimp on it, usually they are scavenging through the plants & moss. Only other time I've seen them bunched up like this is when I feed pellets. Do I have anything to worry about?
