So I just need some questions answered (since I'm new to this type of lighting)...
1. LED's main advantage over traditional lighting is less power consumption & longer life, correct? 2. After an LED lamp goes out the lamp bulbs can be replaced? 3. Why is it that everytime I purchase and LED lamp they never specify the temperature color range? Obviously I'm looking for somthing in the 6500K range but it never seems to give me that info. |

I would be more interested to know how long does one LED bulb give off the right waves to actually promote plant growth...?

There is extensive PAR data on LED fixtures on this forum that will provide information on this issue.

I just traded out my fluorescent light 36" for a 125 bulb LED that puts out 10k
it looks great but I have to say my plants aren't dying off but they don't seem to be growing as much either. not sure what to tell you I've had it about 3 weeks so I guess time will tell aesthetically my tank looks cleaner and brighter but as far as promoting healthy plant growth I'm a little concerned |
