Was looking in my tank today and (finally) Caught a glimpse of some pregnant (Berried) Shrimp. I Counted three that are berried (The others are still tiny, i have a mix of all sorts of sizes). Lets hope i get some babies goin' :Z
Quick rant: The bio wheel parts of my bio wheel filters doesnt work. Im assuming its because of the limited flow due to the sponge on the intake.. but, it was working fine before? Gahh (The little bio wheel aint spinnin cause the water isnt hitting it). Now the edumacational part.. How do these shrimps do their thang? Do they lay eggs? Do the shrimp grow in their tummy's and come out as really really really tiny shrimp?

The latter to your question is correct for most shrimps. You have to specify your shrimp species to know if they're larvae or baby shrimp form when they give birth

Actually I've been wondering the same thing.... I've never witnessed it, however I've wondered how the eggs go from the saddle to berried. After the eggs have been fertilized

Congrats! Good luck counting them.....they are hard to find. You'll get better glimpses of them in about two weeks. AND, you'll have a ton of shrimp before you know what to do with them.
