I have been out of the aquarium hobby for about 5 years since I moved back to WA from Colorado. I set up a 10g the other day but I haven't put any live plants in it yet and am looking to see if anyone has any clippings they would like to sell.
It would also be great to meet some local people and build up some connections/friends that share the hobby!

LOL Thank you again you were a huge help! Yeah that stuff was a bit of a pain to clean but it looks really nice in the tank, so the cloudiness is more than worth it; but it is definitely cloudy!

Hi Justin,
I like the sponge filters in the HOB but to clear up that water a little quicker poly-fiber filter material might catch more of the particulates. Just be sure to turn off your filter when you are changing the poly-fiber or all the "stuff" goes back in the tank - lol!! I have tried Seachem Clarity in the past but to be truthful it doesn't seem to help with inorganic particulates.

Hey Roy,
Yeah I need to pick up some poly-fiber. I think we're going to go check out some of those shops you recommended to me and see what they have in stock for plants and fish. I took the betta out of the 10g and am going to get him his own tank... I haven't decided what I am going to do for sure yet but thinking I might try an El Natural bowl/jar for him, I need to pick up some plants for it though. I want some moss and I'm thinking najas but I don't know if I'll find either till I check out the other shops in the area.
