Algae Grower

I am looking to get a school of nice fish minimum of 12. My short list at the moment is rummy nose tetra, lemon tetra and marbled hatchet fish (maybe). I know that fish only tend to school when threatened but I would like a tight schooling group. Does anyone know f another nice looking schooler. I was thinking of celestial pearl danios but I don't know how well they school. Suggestions welcomed. Thanks in advance

celestial pearl danios don't really school. Are you looking for something interesting? Or do just want fish that school? I know that you have a lot of tetras...but I really think that green neon tetras are unbeatable. How big is your tank? You can have quite a lot of them because of their small size...

i have lemons and hatchets now. the lemons school most of the time and the hatchets, its dependent. maybe pencilfishes? they are a good schooling fish, especially if you are tired of tetras. that happened to me

Black neon, lemon, neon, green neon, head-and-tail light, black skirt, cardinal, and rummynose tetras; harlequine, narrow-wedge, and lambchop rasboras; the various forktail rainbows; hatchetfish.... lots of options. That said, all the rasboras and the cardinal and rummynose tetras seem to be the consistently best schoolers.

Rummys always seem to school tight. Need room though.

I want to get rummys. I am setting up a 60 gallon tank. What is the minimum amount of rummys needed for a nice school?
