I have a new 12 gallon Fluval Edge. A "King Plakat" betta caught my eye, but I don't know if the 12 gal will be large enough--the store said he could get to 4 inches. No fish in there at all yet.
Any opinions--I haven't bought him yet. Thanks--sox

it will be fine! i dont personally think the "king bettas" are that much bigger then a normal betta. some people think it could be a giant betta, if it is though, it will still be fine
as for the tank, the fluval edge might not be a good choice, since there isnt any open air, and bettas are labrynth fish, and they frequency suck air from the surface |

Thanks for the size recommendations.
As to the tank precaution, I have had Bettas in my other Fluval Edge tanks all this time. There is an area at the top of the tank that is open to the surface and they've never had a problem. I'll keep him on my short list! Cheers, sox
