help ID this plant please

i have no idea what this plant is, i bought it in 4-6 months ago, at first almost all of it died off because i had it in improper conditions

i know it needs high light, since i added co2 it has been growing like a weed, it is a stem plant, but grows pretty impressive roots if left alone. once it reaches the water line the top leaves start to turn a pink/purple

any ideas of the identification of this plant would be helpful

Top down shot looks like blyxa. But the side shot shows the leaves pretty spaced out. Experts are gonna have to show up on this one.

Likely Pogostemon stellatus 'narrow leaf'. Higher quality pics would help confirm it though.

Does it have teeth on the leaves? Does it smell like carrots?

it looks simular to Blyxa alternifolia but some possible differences.

and no it does not have teeth or smell like carrots

So it's not a Limnophila. AZFishkid's answer is probably correct.

differences i see, are that i havent found one picture where the stem is as thick as it was when i purchased it. and some sites are listing the color as brown.. mine turns pink/purple on the top when near the light.

all my stems are thin (besides 1, dying frag of the main plant)

alternifolia means alternate leaves. Your plant has whorled leaves.
