Default The new site is LIVE!! Check it out!! Photo contest winners announced!

I have been working hard with fellow aquarist and graphic designer Bill Brissette (mellowvision.com) to relaunch my website. The time has come to release it! I still have a bunch of profiles and write-ups to do, but am eager to see what you guys think!

As many of you know, I hosted a photography contest to help get some images for the site. I was really pleased with the response, receiving 75 entries! I plan to do more contests in the future.

We used a panel of judges; Mark Denaro of Anubias Design, Bill Brissette of mellowvision.com, and myself. There were three categories- fish, invert, and aquascape.

Here are our winner!
Best fish by Clifton Kern: Yunnanilus cruciatus

Best invertebrate by Ben Oakes: Amano shrimp

And best scape/fts by Sambhav Sankar:

Check out the new site at msjinkzd.com and let us know what you think!

Great work on the site! I took me a minute or two figure out how to get to profiles (thought the icon was for full page view, lol) but overall nice layout and informative. One thing, I might suggest is hyperlinking the profile in the stock list. Oh and does anyone know what the plant with the tiny leaves is below the Y. Cruciatus in Clifton Kern's pic in the original post? Nice work on the pics, makes your fish look almost as good as real life! Best of luck with the new site.

Love the new site Rachel, It's awesome as I usually have to go though your sale list and copy/paste the names into google to figure out what the fishies are/ look like .

Also, loved the contest. There were tons of wonderful pictures and I had a great time figuring out how to capture those fast little B. Brigatte on film. I must have taken 200+ pictures , thank god for digital cameras and the erase button. (Hint: Use a remote flash on top of the tank, it makes all the difference). Now I cant wait for the next one!

Man they are great pics too!!!

As far as having to copy and paste, if you click on the fish pic there is a profile on each one! I tried to make it easier for people to know what I have!

As I get more pics (my remote flash broke ) I will update profiles so that everything I carry always has a pic and profile
