Thai onion plant

How do you plant Thai onion plant, with the 'onion' below the gravel? I just got one and I only have the roots buried now.

are you saying about Crinum thaianum? Yes. I have one. i didnt cover it fully with the gravel. just the root only. So that i still can see the "onion" out of the gravel.

I was keeping it in a tank without lighting n CO2. it still growing. it can stand up to PH 9.
