How tall does Echinodorus angusitfolius get?
I have some that seems fairly happy and is sending out nice little runners but it is growing very, very slowly. Right now the longest blades are only around 4" long. I am hoping that someday the plant will provide a tall curtain in the back that touches the water's surface.

Mine never got that tall. Maybe a foot or slightly more in height. The sag was always taller (reaching the top of the tank and flowering). May I ask where you got this plant from? I lost mine while moving during the sell of my home, and I would love to get my hands on it again.

A nice member of this very forum sent it to me. Once I get some iron to these plants, I'm hoping they'll grow a bit faster. When they do, I will be glad to send some to you. You can PM me if you'd like.

The leaves of Echinodorus angustifolius, when grown submersed, can reach heights of about 24".

I have read that it can get 2 ft or more, but that was never my experience with the plant. It was a very slow grower until all of a sudden it would just took off and had several daughter plants. But the height never surpassed my sag (which I could grow 2+ ft long in the same tank). As usual, mileage may vary depending on your setup.
