Hi all!

I've got a 30 gal planted tank, with 36 watts of flourescent. As you see it's very low light, and the hygros are stretching after the window in the room, and there are alot of romm between each leaf set. So i need some more ligt. I got CO2, and fertilize with iron and maybe soon macro nutrients(if i get some more light). The hood i got now can hold two more flourescent bulbs, but 2 more, wil not add alot of light. Do you guys(gals) got any ideas on what light to use? It has to be cheap. Dimensions are 32" x 16" x 16".

Lets see now.... you have one tube with 36 watts. Two more woulkd be 108 watts then? Thats 3.6 wpg on a 30 gal tank! More than enough for most plants.

I'm betting he has two 18 watt tubes. So two more tubes will only add another 36 watts. That would give just over 2 wpg. Cheap is hard to do

But i want the tank to be pretty much low-maintaince, so i dont need that much light, or else the plants will just grow to fast. If i put in two more 18 watt tubes, i will have 72 watts, that'l give me 2,4 wpg. Dont you think that is enough for a low-mantaince tank? The tank got some good dimensions for planting, but i'm still a bit worried for wich foreground plants i can use. Got any suggestions? The tank is 16" deep.
