Good tip. Thanks a lot.
Does Jon's have all the goodies, or just limited things?

Yes I got all the necessary supplies from jon's for pmdd recipe. The trace element mix they sell has boron in it already btw.

Botia,
Thanks for the info on local suppliers. I went to Supterstore in Metrotown today and they have switched from GE to Sylvania supply for most of their lights. However they only have the Sunsticks and two types of regular Sylvanica tubes. Very poor selections. Which particular SS did you see the Grolux please ? Who other than Superstores carries the Sylvania Grolux standard ? Who carries the Grolux wide spectrum ? Thanks. Last edited by Ironfin; 11-04-2004 at 12:10 AM.. Reason: add info |

BTW I am thinking of buying a PH controller from the states. Does anybody has done it before and can tell me what they need to pay for custom brokerage fees, duties, PST and GST etc ? What is best way to ship ? Thanks.

i got my controller and reg from aquabotanic...great price, can't remember the extra fees but wasn't too big from what i recall. certainly worked out to be much cheaper than anywhere else even after exchange rates etc.

just found a great DIY place in vancouver, been there a few times now and love it! it's a medical supply shop at 601 broadway called "lancaster". for trimming plants and aquascape hardware you can get stainless scizzors, forceps whatever, quite cheap. i got about 10" forceps there for around $8 (1/2 the cost than at any lfs that i've seen) and a bunch of needless syringes for dosing for $.25 each. also been buying IV bags and drip-lines for auto-dosing when i leave town!! there's all sorts of stuff you can use if you're creative and at pretty good prices
worth checkin' out IMO |
