Are African Dwarf Frogs legal here?

Anyone know if African Dwarf Frogs allowed in the state? if so anyone know where I can pick some up?

If you can find the scientific name of the frog you can read this:
http://hawaii.gov/hdoa/Info/doa_impo...als-to-hawaii/

and try to find it on this list:
http://hawaii.gov/hdoa/admin-rules/s...try/AR-71C.pdf

if it isn't on the lists I shouldn's see why you wouldn't be able to own them

thanks for the lists. it seems that it might not be allowed here. I went to a few of the better pet stores and petco and they all said that they cant import them. if there is a local breeder then i could get from them. Kalihi says they have had some African clawed frogs on occasion hiding in the plants they get, but only by accident.

I would like one but it dosnet look like its gonna happen.

I am doing research on this and it seems african dwarf frog is not prohibited.

It lists [ Xenopus laevis frog, African clawed ]. But in the same doc there is no Hymenochirus sp. ( African Dwarf Frog )

Pretty sure it's a BIG negative on that...can you say Coqui? Well, maybe they aren't quite as obnoxious. But you never know!
