I planted some riccia on 3 small rocks in my 5 gallon tank 5 days ago.

and scince then, they have just slowly turned pale, a bit brownish yellow and the nice green it had when i put it in there has faded.

I hace a diy co2 set up, .33 bubble per second, and still it might be a bit too high
ph 6.6 - 6.8 ish
Kh 4-5*
temp 24* C
22 watts of compact lights (normal lights, found in those desktop lights)
and no fish as of now, the tank has only been up 10 days roughly..

any idea on why it's not growing?

First thing I look to at this time of year when plants in a tank fade that fast is where do you live and maybe if you had them shipped to you, did they freeze or get too cold during shipping!
But that theory failed since I dont know where " Somewhere" is... :icon_roll

Next...feed them.
You make no mention of ferts at all so I assume you dont use any. Lights and CO2 dont get it done.

It's the light man. 22 watts isn't a lot, especially when you are using stock bulbs. Switch to a 6700K.
For the most part, plants could give a crap less what K the lights are. Choose the spectrum that pleases your eye. The problem is your lack of ferts more than likely.
