1. What is Potassium Sulfate (K2SO4) for? and is it necessary to be included in the dosing regime?

This is from the sticky:

40~60gal
50% H20 change-weekly
1/2 Tsp-KN03 3x a week
1/8 Tsp-KH2P04 3x a week
3/4 Tsp-GH booster once a week
10ml or 1/8Tsp-Trace 3x a week
Optional
2-4ml-Fe/Iron 3x a week

2. and what is a GH booster called by name?

3. Are Trace ferts aka Plantex?

some suggest that if you have plenty of livestock you don't need to dose Nitrate or Phosphate, but you do need to dose Potassium and trace

GH booster is comprised of CaSO4, K2SO4, and MgSO4 in a 3:3:1 ratio, respectively.

In a highly lit, heavily planted aquarium, there will not be enough nitrates and phosphates to meet the demands of plants.
