Looking for 100 lbs of blasting sand or turace locally. Any recommendations?

How is the Black beauty sand from GT Rentals? Anybody use that? Is it dirty and need quite a bit of wash? Is it bigger and heavier than regular play sand? I can't use 100lbs, anybody got like half or less for sale, want to use it to cap MG soil.

Also, I found pfs in homedepot, but 5 - 5lbs cost $25+, is it that expensive or I am looking for the wrong one?

I bought a bag from them and I'll probably buy another one. It's pretty dusty so you should rinse it a couple of times before putting it into your tank. It's incredibly dense so you don't have to worry about it getting kicked up by your filters. However if you have large fish that dig, I'd recommend raising up your intakes well above the sand. I'd split a bag with you but then I realized I might have to use the entire 100lb bag for future projects.

ill snap a photo for ya but there are plenty on tpt. Its made of calcium montmorillonite clay, high cec which is great for precharging. there are people that have used this for years without breakdown which is why i went with this. $10/40lbs shipped online. anywhere other than NY, you can likely go to a supply shop and pick it up a 40lbs bag for $4... mine seemed to be sold through Grainger's when it arrived.
