I would glue every joint. Yellow woodworking glue makes a joint that is much stronger than the wood itself, leaving the screws there primarily to hold the parts until the glue sets. If you glue two boards together, then cut a 1/8" piece off and try to break the glue joint, the wood will always break first. I rarely use any screws or nails when I make an aquarium stand, relying entirely on the glue to hold it together.
