Update on the project:
Entire frame is done. I put the top on the tank, I am using higher quality wood than most people probably would for the project, so my costs may be higher than yours. I am not doing a DIY necessarily to save money but instead because I enjoy building things.
I found something very interesting that I am going to use for a reflector for the lighting. The solution is reflective foil tape!!! I was excited, looks like it will work pretty well. I will post pictures later, maybe tomorrow.
