You want movement so there are no dead spots and fertilizers & co2 is distributed throughout the aquarium, but you want minimal surface agitation so the co2 doesn't gas out. I've seen some of the larger ada tanks with 4 pipes but those are 120 or 180s. I looked at the conversion rate and man those are some expensive eheims.
