Totally agree with 2Shi.... it ALWAYS takes a few days if not a week. Run the tests to see if it can handle a load of ammonia.

BTW, how long did it take you to drive across the country?
You kept the gravel saturated the ENTIRE time? What type of substrate is this?
What make/model is your filter & what did you do with your filter media during the trip?
