I think you mean you want to use the water from the 10 to cycle the other tank? If that is what you mean, then that won't work. You should take a piece of your cycled media from the 10 and use it in the filter on the new tank. Red cherry shrimp are the easiest (when you have a cycled tank). If you are planning on something else, be sure to research and ask lots of questions here. Some shrimp can be very challenging, and you would just be wasting money and poor lives if your tank parameters are not correct.
