All of my other plants and fish seem to be doing fine. The plants are all growing new leaves, even the jungle val which had the holes in its older leaves. The neon tetras are bright and colorful and they are swimming in a loose group. And, last but not least, the surviving WCMM has regained its color and is eating well during feeding time. It seems that giving it another WCMM friend really helped it to recover.
Trading plants sounds great! I'll be looking forward to that once my plants become more established.
BTW, I bought the API KH & GH test kit and the calcium test kit. My tap and tank water is testing GH 12 dH (~210 ppm) and KH 6 dH (~105 ppm). Calcium was ~80 mg/L. So, I'm still not quite sure why that shrimp died.
