Well before killifish, I recommend a dynamic scape and a fire red shrimp tank.
But yes, I've got least killifish now. (Latin Name H.Formosa, check out my Deep Blue Professional tank thread.)
They do very nice in my tank, and I can see based on their swimming patterns, a trio could survive well in a standard 2 gallon.
