It's going to undo all the work on the super red ones that got them super red. Even a few not red males in a population can dull the whole population in a few generations. You're better going for the most red ones you can get and start off with those and cull as they breed.

You can find fire reds for cheaper than $6 a piece in the buy and sell section here.

This is a list of the different grades of cherries and for a few more bucks, I would start off as red as you can.
