you should invest in a master test kit , they are about $75 on amazon , you should really know your gH , kH , ammonia , nitrite , nitrate and ph . just remember to pick species suited for your parameters . I wouldn't do a massive 50% change at once try to stagger over a week at least, or just do a 20%
