I have a very similar tank. I have fss substrate in a EBi fluval tank with moss and plants. I have the filter that cane with the tank running. My shrimp are low grade with nice color. I just found some tiny few day old babies. I have not done a wc in 2 weeks just top off with tap water.

My tank has been running for 6 months. Ph 7, kh2, gh4, temp 70f . Tds 116.
I use tab water. The crs I bought off eBay from a person that raises them in similar water to mine. So I have had good luck with these shrimp they are happy.
